Glengall

This is a new build of a generous open plan 2 bedroom apartment located above an existing light industrial building to form a large live/work building for a private client. The client works in his studio below and decided to self-build a home above his studio for his family. The aim was to be close to his family and enjoy the benefits this would bring such as the elimination of travel time to work and cost, as well as provide a better work/home balance.

Large sliding glazed doors were fitted to 2 terraces with panoramic views of London. A contemporary design approach was adopted both internally and externally. A creative steel frame was designed that provided large open plan areas that were ‘column free’. This approach also maximizes the large glazing provided.

Our services were to produce the detailed construction design package for Building Regulations Approval and a Full Project Management service during construction which was completed August 2008.
