Our initial consultation with the client unlocked the development potential of this prominent corner plot and paved the way to a unique self-build home. Our initial involvement began with the proposal to raise funds for the self-build by maximizing the value of the plot.

This was done by obtaining planning approval to convert the existing family house into 2 self-contained contemporary flats. These were built and sold at the height of the housing market. Planning Approval was successfully obtained for a self-build energy efficient contemporary 4 bed/4 bath family home.

Its most striking feature is its strong curved façade that works both in plan and elevation to achieve a smooth line that flows through the site. The building is designed to gently rise out of the ground and therefore achieving a smoother transition between its ground and first floor, thus resulting in a highly sculptural form.
